Rollins, who captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at this year’s WrestleMania, tore his right ACL, MCL and medial meniscus during a WWE Live Event match in Dublin, Ireland.
He suffered the injury while attempting to sunset flip powerbomb Kane through a table.
While Rollins is out, WWE announced it would strip his title and hold a tournament to crown a new champion at the “Survivor Series” pay-per-view on Nov. 22. WWE did not release any details on the participants, but it’s likely that Roman Reigns, a former tag team partner of Rollins, will be involved. He was supposed to contend for the title in a one-on-one match against the 29-year-old at the event.
